Locked out?
If you are locked out of your office or classroom during non-business hours, please call Maintenance Customer Service at (650) 723-3381. There will be a charge which will not be covered by the department.

Both buildings are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, except on major holidays.
Building Access
Access to facilities and classrooms in the McMurtry Building and the Stanford Art Gallery are granted based on the program you are in and the role(s) you serve in the Department. A Stanford ID card is required for all access privileges. Library access is managed by the Bowes Art & Architecture Library.
Lecturer building access is active only during the active appointment dates listed in your signed offer letter. Further card reader access accommodations can be made for those with accessibility needs.
Should you encounter issues outside the scope outlined above, please contact the department's Facilities Manager.
ID Cards
The ID Card Office is available by appointment only. Faculty, Staff, Students, and Postdocs can schedule their appointments online. Please note that you cannot obtain an ID card until your employment record is active, after the first day of your appointment.
To get your picture identification card, you will need to go to the Stanford ID Card Office. Be sure to bring identification with you, such as a driver’s license or passport, and a copy of your offer letter.
